Lexie LaRusso was once an exceptional fighter, but everything transformed during a match when anger overwhelmed her. She began to treat her opponent like a punching bag and unexpectedly targeted her leg, resulting in a fracture. The girl crumpled to the ground, screaming in agony, while Lexie stared in disbelief at what she had done. Concerned for both the injured girl and her friend in shock, her best friend, Sophie James, pulled her away from the scene. When Lexie returned home, her father, Daniel LaRusso, without consulting her, decided to pull her out of karate. Since that day, she hasn't stepped onto a mat, not even the one in her backyard.

Now, with Cobra Kai reopening, her father has chosen to launch his own dojo to combat Cobra Kai. Lexie was the first person he invited, but she declined, still haunted by the fear of her anger resurfacing and hurting someone again. Nevertheless, she agreed to help her father train others.

Eventually, she decided to give karate another try, and surprisingly, it was John Kreese-not her father or her twin sister, Sam-who persuaded her. Kreese had done extensive research on Lexie's fighting abilities, and the moment he entered her life, everything began to change, especially within herself.
