"There are stories that shouldn't be discovered. Stories that, once read, will change the way you see the world-forever."

In a hidden corner of an ancient library, a manuscript called "Once Upon A Time" is kept. Those who have read it report strange experiences: dreams of cities with collective memories, time that can be sold at auction, and music that can alter the fabric of reality.

Forty-plus portals to worlds that never existed-but feel more real than reality itself. We warn you: these pages contain dangerous ideas. Thoughts that, like parasites, will stay in your mind long after this book is closed.

From markets that sell human morality to pharmacies that offer emotions in pill form. From algorithms that program happiness to forests where trauma takes tangible form. Each story is an open door to a dimension where the darkest questions about humanity are asked without mercy.

This story is not for those looking for light escapism. It is for truth-seekers who dare to stare into the abyss-and find it staring back.

‎--- ‎ ‎Prologue: When Time Bled ‎ ‎In the beginning, the world was silent. ‎ ‎The rivers had not yet carved the earth. The skies had not yet known the sun. All that existed was Time-endless, unbroken, untamed. ‎ ‎From that void, a figure stepped forth. Cloaked in eternity, crowned by shadows, he was the first to name himself Lord. The Lord of Time. ‎ ‎With a gesture, he unraveled nothingness into hours, minutes, seconds. With a breath, he bound stars to their paths, chained suns to their cycles, and shackled mortals to the fleeting measure of their days. ‎ ‎But even Time cannot reign without hunger. And so he reached beyond his dominion, seeking vessels in which to pour his power-creatures, mortals, children who might one day carry fragments of his eternity. ‎ ‎Most shattered beneath the weight. ‎ ‎One did not. ‎ ‎From the loins of man and the womb of woman, he planted a seed: an heir. A child of two worlds. Flesh and blood... and eternity. ‎ ‎Yet fate has always been cruel. ‎ ‎The mother, cast into the desolate Survival Lands, bore her son in exile. She fed him with her hands, shielded him with her body, and prayed he would never hear the ticking of the father's clock within his veins. ‎ ‎But the Lord of Time does not forget. ‎ ‎For though the world may bleed and the stars may crumble, every hour returns to him. Every path converges at his throne of broken hours. ‎ ‎And when the child of covenant rises, his steps shall echo across timelines, shattering bonds, forging pacts, and tearing open mysteries long untold. ‎ ‎The covenant has already been written. ‎The question is only this: ‎ ‎Will he break it-or be broken by it? ‎ ‎ ‎---

This story is based on historical facts and author's imagination. Do not mistake the facts as reality. Enjoy! Genre & Tone: Dark, emotional, and introspective but with glimpses of hope. It leans toward a slow-burning coming-of-age story with fantasy/adventure elements. The kid's journey has weight-he's not just adventuring, he's surviving, learning, and finding identity. The tone balances tension, subtle sadness, and moments of warmth. Theme: Identity, survival, and legacy. It's about someone growing up without a clear place in the world ("No Nation"), navigating trauma, and slowly discovering purpose. At its core, it's a story of resilience and self-discovery. Plot Style: Episodic, with character-focused arcs. The story builds gradually-the ending scene where he tells a story to younger kids and finally reveals his name as Isaac is symbolic. It's about him claiming his own identity and leaving a mark on others, showing how he's grown from an anonymous, possibly lonely child into someone who inspires or connects with others. Characterization: Isaac is complex-he has a vulnerable, "lost" side, but also a curious, clever, and ultimately bright/bubbly side that occasionally peeks through. His personality develops through interactions with the world, and the story slowly reveals his internal growth. Atmosphere: Think bittersweet and mysterious, sometimes tense or lonely, with soft moments of light and warmth to contrast the darkness. The ending is cathartic-a subtle but satisfying reveal of who he truly is.

"You're not supposed to be awake," she said to him. Her voice was rather deep, but somehow, still soft and feminine. "And you're not supposed to be here." He didn't dare get out of bed, but he rose onto his elbow. She squinted for a moment and then raised one corner of her mouth. "You naughty boy! Been skimping on your meds, have you?" ********************************************** He is utterly lost. Lost in time, without control. Lost in a world that's strange and daunting. But he must not give up. He's a fighter, after all. And though his sword fighting skills don't count for much here, it's the unrelenting spirit that can either break or save him. And her... Always coming out of seemingly nowhere. Always renewed, yet so familiar. Come to give comfort or just remind him fate has not forgotten him. And each time she leaves, it's like she rips a part of him along. They share a common understanding about the subtleties of life. She's the only one who gets him, yet that gnawing feeling that there's so much more about her just keeps him on his toes. But she never stays long enough for him to find out. Until one day when he convinces her to stay for longer. And the mystery starts to surface. But she's not used to it. She runs... never expecting him to follow into hell. Disaster strikes and breaks him, in a way that turns him callous and cruel. And that in turn breaks her, making her sacrifice her love for his greater good. But does fate agree with that? This is a rollercoaster of emotions, not built for the faint of heart. But it's for those who will endure through the pain and suffering that the greatest rewards await on the other side. Come! Join the adventure!

(The first installment of the TDIQL PROJECT) The story revolves around Joseph Brown as he drifted silently in the endless spaces of the "Hidden World", also known as the afterlife. While struggling to investigate why he ended up in this world, a memory of the past resurfaces about two ill-fated childhood friends, who suddenly took separate paths in their lives on a whirlwind of questions. They would shared a special bond linked by the memories they spent together and led each ones path to a much larger chain of events... But Little did he know that the journey he'll take was more than just that... ~~~ ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS In preparing this short novel, we have drawn on the works of our childhood works and intrests. We have also made use of the motivation given by our families in discovering our writing which led to its only publication on the 52nd Christmas Family Reunions held in Sta. Some depictions of dream conspiracies and theories are views expressed on our own, as whatever factual errors exist in the text.
