"So," Kalen looked ahead of them, trying to seem nonchalant. "Which one is Steve?"
"They're all Steve," Hunter said.
"Even the women?"
"Yes," Hunter said. "If we start going by their actual names, people are going to get suspicious."
"We could just call the women Stevey or something like that," he rolled his eyes. "You always make things so complicated."
"Did you forget you still have a bounty on your head?" Hunter asked. "You should be lucky I haven't put a bullet in your head."
"Well, I know you aren't going to right now," he smirked.
"And why is that?"
"Because your crush is right over there," he pointed towards the blind werewolf that was quickly making his way over to them. "And I'm pretty sure he wouldn't like you shooting a silver bullet at a werewolf merely looking for his mate."
"You better thank that Goddess of yours," Hunter sighed, moving his hand away. "Because that's the only way you aren't dead."
Kalen did believe he was lucky. He was lucky to have made it to this forest. To the strange man walking with Hunter's crush that somehow managed to take his breath away every single time he saw him.
