Alton, a young man just 3 years out of Culinary School, starts working at Alonzo's De'Lic, one of the top tier restaurants in Philadelphia. Having to hear the mouth of the head chef 6 days out of the week, already knowing the guy had it out for him since he walked through those restaurant doors, Alton tries to do all he can to prove, he too could someday be a head chef. Even if that meant leaving no room for a social life or any other life outside of the restaurant business.

Elizabeth, a young librarian who has had a taste for a good story, and great quality food since she could remember. Working just a walk across the street from Alonzo's De'Lic, she couldn't see herself having lunch elsewhere. Having already had every item on the menu for the 3 years she has been going there, she always made sure she tried something different the next day.

An incident will bring these two individuals together in a way that they would have never expected. Having always been on opposite sides of the restaurant kitchen door, what would be the cause of them doors opening, and the two catching their very first glance at one another?

A family that once loved her. A crime she never committed. And a past that won't stay buried. For years, Serena Rossi lived in hell, locked away in a place that felt more like a prison than a school. She was punished for a crime she didn't commit-attempting to murder her twin sister, Sofia. The truth? Buried. Now, after years of silence, Serena's called home-to a family she barely recognizes. Her parents are dead, and her twin sister is alive. But everything has changed. Sofia, the one person Serena loved more than anyone, now sees her as a monster. Her brothers? They can't forgive her. Serena's heart aches as she tries to piece together the truth-about her family, about the betrayal, and about the mother who tried to kill her to hide the twisted secrets of the past. But as the past comes rushing back, someone from the shadows is ready to finish what was started. The lies, the pain, and the broken bonds threaten to tear everything apart. Will the truth ever set them free? Or is it too late to fix what's been broken?
