Bucky Barnes, a usually stoic man, would've never thought to fall in love with someone. After all, he's just a bruised, broken, and battered man who's been left with anxiety, depression, and enough PTSD to give to a family for 3 generations. But it all changes when he meets someone who suffered just like him... at the hands of HYDRA.
He slowly built a connection with her, a stronger connection than he had originally hoped for. But... he finds peace in her, a different kind of peace that he hadn't had since the day he stepped foot in HYDRA.
She's exactly like him... a Winter Soldier. Given to HYDRA at only the age of 3 by her parents, who was responsible for the first portion of her PTSD, she suffered through a life that no young living, breathing organism should suffer through. With her mind set on one thing, she kept her rules.
1) Survive.
2) Trust no one.
3) Stay hidden.
4) Keep quiet.
5) Always be prepared.
And her favorite one of them all:
Rule #9... Always carry a pocket knife.
But as she was slowly turned into an Avenger herself, she found her permanent solution for her permanent problems... a family she had longed and desired for... a family she wouldn't give up... a family that she would rather step foot back into HYDRA than give up... a family she had never had...
