"In our forties I think, maybe thirties. When I asked Annabeth about it she explained how we're half immortal, we don't age like mortals." The ocean was silent, frozen still as there commander gripped it in place like a stress ball.
"Then later, it was because I was a big three kid, I was bound to live longer."
"But, it doesn't make sense! look at me!" The man demanded.
Chiron was unable to comply until his favourite student grabbed him by the shoulder, forcing the elderly looking centaur to face the young man.
"I said LOOK AT ME!" Percy yelled, his voice punctuated by the surging wave and the clap of thunder.

Most demi-gods never make it to adulthood, but those that do often live long lives, and Percy has lived longer than most, far longer than he should. Now as Annabeth is old and dying he goes in search for answers to find out why he hasn't aged a day since he was 20, hoping desperately that what he'll find is not what he fears. That he will not be able to join his love in the fields of Elysium.

It started out with just wanting to write a cute little series of one-shots, but this story has become the light of my life. What I thought would get maybe 200 reads max has blossomed into 20,000. It came to a trainwreck of a stop last summer, but due to begging from multiple fans, I've agreed to write a sequel. This is the future of Percabeth, inspired by the user PercyAnnabeth20Owl and the fanfiction entitled Percy and Annabeth-Their Future. ~ I was contacted by PercyAnnabeth20Owl and we are now doing a collab, so unfortunately the sequel's release date is going to be postponed. I am hoping to have it up by early 2015, but due to the fact that I have a new sister, it may take longer than that. Thank you for all your time support to everyone who reads this story. ***guys. i wrote this when i was 14 at the height of COVID-19. proceed w caution*** It's been a year after the Giant War, and things are going great for The Seven and friends. But a twist in the middle of summer make things go from heaven on earth to complete destruction. One sunny afternoon, Percy gets summoned to Olympus by his father. Naturally, Annabeth follows. When they arrive, Poseidon tells them that he want the 2 of them to go on a question in California, to retrieve a demigod. They wonder why a satyr can't do it, or why it has to be them, not anyone else. After a bit of convincing, they're on their way to Cali, via plane, credit to Zeus. What they don't know, is that another mysterious young demigod was also assigned to this quest. Hali Peterson. Daughter of Poseidon, born in 1937, dropped in the Lotus Casino at age 14, till her father pulled her out in the middle of the Giant War, in hopes to gain some more power in the underwater battle that raging at his palace. Now it was the next summer, and 15 year old Hali was living the dream in Southern California, occasionally going on different quests for her father. What happens when she meets her brother on one of these quests? I hope you like this! That is, until Aphrodite McLean and her daughter Piper are hired to prepare for Prince Triton's wedding and crowning. Turns out Piper is curious and very persuasive. What will happen when Annabeth starts poking around the Northern Tower? Read to find out! There will be lots of twists and turns, but this is my first story, so please be patient if I mess up. Percy Jackson is not a good person. At least, not anymore. Percy has been through a lot. Annabeth is dead and his few remaining friends are scattered across America. Percy's been loyal and heroic his whole life, he's always done what the gods asked. And they have only ever repaid him with pain and indifference. So now it's his turn. His longing for justice is growing and the more bitter he becomes, the more it sinks in that without Annabeth, he has nothing left to fight for. But then again, there's nothing holding him back. Revenge is something that has long been above Percy. But at the end of the day, at least it's something to fight for. The gods have forgotten that loyalty goes both ways.
