What was the point of heroes? Society functioned just fine with cops. Well-sort of. At least, that's what Kuraiyami thought. Growing up in a family of pro heroes meant her life was constant, unrelenting worry. The nail-biting anxiety, wondering if they'd make it home alive. The prayers whispered every time she passed by a crumbling building, knowing it had been another battlefield for heroes and villains. The responsibility of raising her younger brother while their parents rushed off to answer every distress call. And worst of all-the suffocating, gut-wrenching pain that crushed her when she heard they had died a "noble death." Heroes gave their lives to protect others. But in doing so, they left behind the people who needed them most. So no, Kuraiyami was not a fan of heroes. At least, not until she met a group of U.A. students-and suddenly, the lines between her resentment, her pain, and her beliefs weren't so clear anymore. Kind of. {chapters are pretty long, so if you don't like long chapters skip!}

Meeting your idols is always a disappointment. Understanding that the people we look up to the most don't wish for our happiness, chose to turn a blind eye on our situation. Must be painful. I'm sorry you had to go through all of this. But you see... I wouldn't say you're worthless. This is far from worthless if you ask me. I'd like you to think about some things. You say you're invisible, rejected. And I wouldn't put it past society to actually make you feel like that. But you're not. This is a golden mine, a diamond in the rough. People just won't recognize your talent because of who you are. Or what you're not. - The tale of how Midoriya Izuku, whose only dream was to be a hero, ended up a villain. Who said that a 'villain' couldn't help? Most people usually forget who requires help. And Izuku will be a hero to them, because no one else will. cover is the fanart of @seilo.art on instragram, full credit to him for it the world and almost all of the characters expect two are the work of Horikoshi, the rightful owner of My Hero Academia
