What was the point of heroes? Society functioned just fine with cops. Well-sort of. At least, that's what Kuraiyami thought.
Growing up in a family of pro heroes meant her life was constant, unrelenting worry. The nail-biting anxiety, wondering if they'd make it home alive. The prayers whispered every time she passed by a crumbling building, knowing it had been another battlefield for heroes and villains. The responsibility of raising her younger brother while their parents rushed off to answer every distress call. And worst of all-the suffocating, gut-wrenching pain that crushed her when she heard they had died a "noble death."
Heroes gave their lives to protect others.
But in doing so, they left behind the people who needed them most.
So no, Kuraiyami was not a fan of heroes.
At least, not until she met a group of U.A. students-and suddenly, the lines between her resentment, her pain, and her beliefs weren't so clear anymore.
Kind of.
"You do know how to eat a burger, right?"
Summer rolled her eyes, looking up at him with feigned exasperation. "Of course I do," she retorted, then lowered her voice as she leaned in, her expression shifting to one of genuine concern. "Do you think they have a fork and knife? So I can, you know... cut it?"
