It's Complicated

Amber Sanchez was a just a child when her mother committed suicide. The last thing she remembered her mother telling her was " You decide how you live your life. Do not let anyone tell you what or how to control your life. You choose your future." Amber never understood why her mother said that to her until she turned 13. She realized her father had a drinking problem and he couldn't control himself. The late nights when he would come in drunk she would have to pick up after her father and the mess he always made. Entering high school she kept to herself because no one needed to know her business.
Not until Jason Rodriguez enters her life in senior year. What he sees as a harmless beautiful girl, but he doesn't know her pass or present. But Amber refuses to let him in. When he starts to get more involved in her life, will he help her and supported the decisions that she makes.
But Amber also runs in Ryan Rivera, the schools bad boy and Jason's old ex best friend. Jason fights for Amber because she is different and he wants her to let him in, however Ryan seems to break her shell without them both even knowing it. He sees her as a delicate flower and what's to help her get through whatever it is she's hiding that's tearing her apart.
