A Fate Story
Lengthiest story I've written so far. I started it in May 2018 as a simple passion project from when I was just getting into the Fate/stay night storyline. My favourite character by far was Sakura Matou, and by extension my favourite route of the visual novel was Heaven's Feel. This story was more of an experiment than anything, to play around with some of the characters I was interested in. It contains evidence of my curiosity and status as a newcomer to the series, but given its length and how long it took me to complete it I would like to put it out there anyway. Its events are placed within the first few days of Heaven's Feel, although I took a few creative liberties here and there. Honestly, I don't give a rat's ass about anything from the storyline. Those fucking capture targets are so damn stupid, falling for an idiotic birdbrain heroine. Actually, they probably only fell in love with her for their egos. Why should I ever feel that they're a threat to my life? I'm a duke and duchess' daughter of a powerful kingdom, I'm smart, beautiful, and powerful. I'm just generally better than them. After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly. Though that smile did not reach his eyes at all. "One, don't resign and stay here forever..." His gaze was enough to unnerve me. "Two, let me kill those who dared to give you the idea of resigning...then don't go and stay here forever."
