Gift of the unknown

In a futuristic world where technology rules and superhuman abilities are rare anomalies, 19-year-old Kai Renshaw lives an ordinary life-until the day he is chosen. Without explanation, he wakes up with abilities beyond comprehension: enhanced strength, reflexes, and the power to manipulate energy. No records indicate how he received them, and no one else seems to have undergone the same transformation.

At first, Kai is cautious, fearing government scrutiny or corporate exploitation. But as he experiments, he realizes he has the perfect tool to climb the ranks of society. He uses his powers for personal gain-winning underground fights, hacking into high-security systems with enhanced perception, and manipulating powerful people. He becomes wealthy, influential, and untouchable, always staying one step ahead.

However, as Kai enjoys his new life, he begins to question the true origin of his powers. Strange anomalies start occurring around him, and shadowy forces take an interest in his existence. The more he exploits his abilities, the more he feels something watching-as if his powers were never truly his to control.
