The Midnight Visitor is a chilling horror story about Brian, a man who lives in an old, isolated house. One night, as the silence of the evening envelops the house, Brian hears mysterious knocks at the front door. When he opens it, no one is there. However, as time goes on, strange things begin to happen-lights flicker, footsteps echo through empty hallways, and shadowy figures dart in the corner of his eyes.
Fear gradually creeps in as Brian realizes that the knocks aren't the only thing visiting him at midnight. Something unseen, yet undeniably real, starts to haunt him. Trapped in his confusion, Brian tries to uncover the identity of the entity visiting him each night, but the reader into a world of mounting terror, building up to a shocking and unexpected ending.
"Say, maybe we should watch a movie together," the mysterious voice on the other line suggests.
"Is that your way of asking me out?" I laugh.
"Maybe, so what do you say?"
"Sure!" I grin, going along with it. "So what time are you picking me up?" I joke, starting to walk back to the living room.
"Now. Are you ready yet, Dawn?" I freeze in my tracks, my entire body going numb. My breath quickens, and my heart beats so loud I can hear the muffled thumping in my ears.
"I never told you my name," I whisper.
