Waiting For August

When August Vaughn is forced to move cities yet again, she makes a promise to herself - no attachments, no heartbreak. She has spent the last seventeen years of her life guarding her heart, but when she meets Ciara O'brian, her walls begin to crumble. For the first time ever, August feels like she belongs. Ciann O'brian has his future mapped out- graduate, go pro, and leave the small town of Kilkenny, Ireland, behind. He can't afford distractions, especially not from his sister's sharp-tongued American friend. Determined to stay focused, Ciann makes August hate him, or at least he tries too. But no matter how hard he pushes, she keeps showing up, refusing to back down.

As their final year of secondary school unfolds, August and Ciann find themselves caught in a turbulent dance of rivalry and friendship. But after their last summer, everything falls apart and they stop speaking altogether.

Now, with their past and future colliding, the two must decide if some stories are meant to be rewritten, or if their last August together was truly the end.
