???: my sin is running away from home to get away from an arranged marriage. A marriage that my betrothed, who didn't love me. So, I killed my betrothed husband and I didn't feel any regrets after that. My regret is losing the war and being in an arranged marriage by force to people I don't like.
???: my sins...well, I have lots of sins. No, seriously, I do. I can go all day on what my sins are in a list. My biggest sin and regret is...losing the war and force to become a sex slave and marry two people I despised.

A long time ago, Equestria lived in harmony with not only anthropomorphic ponies, but also a lot of anthropomorphic creatures, and later sinners.
Sinners are gods/goddesses who rebelled against the other gods/goddesses and other omnipotent beings, bent on conquering Equestria and went to war against them.
But, that's not true for everyone. They're those who have committed crimes or have regrets in their life too. 50% of these people in Equestria either have sins or regrets, or hell both. But, there are 40% that are sinners who don't have either regrets and/or sins for what they did. And lastly, the 10% are just common & normal, meaning they have no idea what is happening in Equestria.
Meet Twilight Sparkle who's part of that 10%, she's the princess's newest student who is moving to Ponyville to help organize for the Summer Sun Celebration, something she really didn't want to do. But, she's also going to Ponyville for a different reason.
Join her adventures in Ponyville finding out the truth and what happened to those sinners.

Long ago, in the Land of Equestria, two Royal sisters ruled with peace and harmony. The elder used her Unicorn magic to raise the sun, and bring about the day. The younger used her magic to raise the moon, and bring the night. Thus, peace and harmony reigned for years. However, the younger sister became resentful, as ponies relished and played in the daytime her sister brought, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. Then one day, the younger sister refused to lower moon to make way for the dawn. As such, the hatred in her heart turned her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon. Left with no choice, the elder sister called upon the most powerful relics in all of ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the power of the Elements of Harmony, the elder sister defeated Nightmare Moon, banishing and sealing her in the moon. Afterwards, the elder sister took the responsibility of both the sun and moon, and peace and harmony has reigned ever since... or has it? What if there were an organization deep in the shadows who had not only WORKED in the night the younger sister brought, but committed crimes? That's EXACTLY what had happened, but the two sisters didn't know it until it was too late. However, thanks to the work of the EUP Guard, which had been formed to protect the elder sister, this group had been stopped. However, what if they came back? Meet Gold Shield, a Unicorn colt who lost his parents, and was abandoned by his other family members. He was your average colt, nothing special, but he had a knack for spotting trouble. That's what caused him to save a young Twilight Sparkle as she was studying for a test. Yet, he didn't stop there. He went on to CONTINUE helping her by studying with her until she got every spell down, even going as far as to show her a concentration technique. However, Sun isn't the only one who's important - any character can be! Through the eyes of biased narrators, both original and from MLP:FiM, read harrowing journeys across Equestria's forgotten lands and familiar sights, or maybe just a wacky adventure full of nonsense. ...Still reading? Okay, good. So, this is obviously a sequel to my last story, Songs of Innocence, but if you haven't read that, that's okay! The explosive first chapter of this story will seamlessly make you understand who Sun is, which is what's most important! You can even think of the previous story as just the pilot, while this is the main series, so to speak. This story will be a much more... casual read.
