For centuries, Phantoms had hunted the sleepless, drawn to those who defied rest. But when a phantom sensed a presence unlike any other-a soul who had gone three nights without sleep-it felt something deeper, something familiar. Diving into the depths of the Overworld, the Phantom flew through a dark ravine, gliding through a sprawling underground cave until it found a man-made tunnel. The air was thick with an otherworldly energy. A stronghold. Something called to it from within. Navigating the labyrinthine halls, it found a portal already opened, its swirling void still disturbed by recent passage. Without hesitation, the Phantom forced its way through-its very essence resisting, twisting as it was pulled between worlds. Then it saw him. Steve. Locked in combat with the Ender Dragon. The Phantom screeched, diving toward him, its claws slashing across his back just as he raised his blade. The Dragon was not to be slain. Not by him. Not again. The battle that followed was unlike any before-a three-way war between the End's guardian, the End's hunter, and the human who defied them both. Then, without warning, the portal at the island's center roared to life. A force beyond even the Ender Dragon's understanding dragged all three into the abyss. They fell. When the Phantom awoke, it felt... different. Its form had changed-its wings were no longer tattered but powerful, draconic. Its body pulsed with Ender energy, its black scales shimmering with a deep purple glow. No longer just a hunter-it had become something more. A world where dragons ruled the skies. As new rulers of an unfamiliar land, the Phantom and the Ender Dragon must navigate this foreign world together-one seeking to reclaim its lost power, the other grappling with a transformation it never asked for. But will they remain beasts of the End, or will this new world change them forever?

DARKLIGHT

Siderion is mere minutes away from becoming a member of the Order and earning his first rank stripe when Serkha City is attacked and his life is changed forever. Thrown away from everything he holds dear, he must scramble for answers as his moral ground shifts under his feet. In a world full of mages and monsters, nothing is safe. - - - - - - - - There were lots of other mages gathered in the plaza, addressing the arkaetres they had ridden with curt nods or short dialogue. The doors to the building were big enough for even the largest dragon to enter, but still only a small imperfection in the huge structure. I knew the door was the size of a dragon because I could see one to compare it to, flying above the dome. Then I realized that the dragon was black. "Dad? Look up there." He looked up and cocked his head in confusion. "I've never seen anything like that before." The beast was quite high in the sky and didn't look particularly threatening, but it still spooked me to see an arkaetre that wasn't white. After watching the shadowy dragon for a few more moments, my dad said slowly, "It seems like they have no rider. We should probably tell the Council about this." I nodded and followed him inside the dome. "But what about the opening ceremony?" I asked nervously, looking down at my watch. "We've got some time." - - - - - - - - Remember to comment and vote for the chapters you enjoy! Any and all feedback is appreciated.
