Good comes to those who wait?
I've waited a thousand years.
I've been waiting and I think it's getting late,
As I'm running out of tears.
I did everything I could,
To make you stay by my side,
If my heart is wood,
Your name's woodpecker only pecks it wide.
Trying to stay strong,
It's not as easy as it looks.
I know because I've been trying for way too long.
With what I feel I could write a million books.
Yet I wish that you shall never be sad,
Yet I wish you shan't cry,
Your son could have been my lad,
This, I'll regret until I die.

These words, "I'll kill any guy who comes close to you," and "If I don't have you, nobody else will." We took them too lightly. We all had things that happened to us which we vowed never to talk about. Secrets we kept. The lies we said. The heartaches that still hurts at night and the forbidden sex we had with other people. Above all, that one person who didn't fit in the fabulous life we lived. High school was trash. All the threats and fights which occurred made us hate the word 'School' Hoping college would be a good start for us, we held our heads up high like saints. third poem collection. they aren't in any particular order or anything like that, and after 100, there will always be a new one. if you've been here a while, I'm sure you know the drill. now, about the cover. it was a random Thursday, and an old friend and I went to Cottonwood Island Park in PG. this bridge is covered in graffiti and writing, and it has been painted over to cover it up, or boards have been replaced to get rid of it. yet, there's always writing on this bridge. it felt like no matter what, nobody can silence the voices that need to be heard. and I felt that. anyways, please enjoy this chaotic collection of poetry.
