Rigel Veyne: The Not-So-Dark Lord

When Rigel Veyne, an ordinary human with a severe sun allergy, gets transported to a fantasy world, things go downhill immediately. Thanks to his pale skin, dark clothing, and ridiculously high agility, the locals mistake him for an ancient vampire lord. No amount of arguing convinces them otherwise-especially when he actually starts wilting in the sunlight.

Now, every kingdom either fears him, wants to recruit him, or is actively trying to slay him. As if that wasn't enough, he soon crosses paths with Selene Strom, a mercenary who quickly figures out his real weakness-getting sick turns him into the most pathetic weakling in existence. Naturally, she finds endless amusement in teasing him, but as their adventures lead them through monster-infested ruins, kingdom-wide conspiracies, and an ever-growing bounty on Rigel's head, she begins to realize there's more to him than just an unfortunate misunderstanding.

Armed with superhuman combat skills, a sharp wit, and a complete lack of control over his own reputation, Rigel sets out on a journey to clear his name, survive assassination attempts, and maybe one day convince people that he is not an undead overlord.
