Title: No Ghosts of Us

Lavender never believed in ghosts, at least not the kind that haunt abandoned houses or whisper through cracked windows. But the kind that lived in memories, that lingered in the spaces between then and now-those she could never seem to escape.

New York City had a way of making the past feel like the present. Every street, every coffee shop, every fleeting song from a passing taxi could pull her back into moments she thought she had buried. It had been over a year since she last saw him, but some days, it felt like only minutes had passed.

She was good at moving forward-at least, that's what she told herself. Work consumed her, as it always had. Meetings, deadlines, numbers, strategies-things that had clarity, unlike emotions. Unlike love.

But when she spotted him across the street one rainy afternoon, standing beneath the awning of their favorite bookstore, the world around her faltered. He hadn't seen her. Not yet. And for a second, she considered walking the other way, pretending he was just another stranger in the city. But she knew better.

The ghosts of their love still lingered, waiting for acknowledgment. And as much as she wanted to pretend they had been exorcized, she knew deep down: there were no ghosts of them. Only the pieces of a story that had never fully ended.

Flower Serie: 1 "Please please please, let me come" I begged Silas who kept eating me. Noah was fucking Max next to me who was a moaning mess next to me. Max opens his clouded eyes, looking at me, or more precisely at my breast hungrily. My attention was back to Silas when he bit my clit a little to hard, but soothed it right ever by liking it a few times, overstimulating it more than it already was. "5 more minutes and then you can come. Not before that". I walked on the nearly empty bus in New York City, which was very rare. It was the middle of the night and this was the last train going around the tracks. It was only me in the car for a few stops. I was hiding my face with a hoodie. I had my headphones in when he walked in. I looked up and our eyes met. He looked familiar and I quickly looked away. He's probably a fan and followed me. I probably met him at a meet and greet, at least that's what I thought. I felt a presence next to me and looked up to see the green/blue eyes that were so familiar. I took one of my earbuds out. "Hi?" I asked. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, but where are you from?" He asked. "Let me know your name first." I said still cautious. I paused my music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone and put it in my pocket. "Denzel Weller." He said holding out his hand. "Rose Pitcher." I told him taking his hand. He looked so familiar. His name tried to break through a wall in my memories. I looked around us to see that there was one person left on the train besides us. I took my hood off revealing my turquoise hair. I just got it done and that's what I'm going to my hotel from. "So, where are you from?" He asked me. "We say where we're from at the same time." I told him. He nodded. "1.....2.......3!" I said. "LA." We said at the same time. I looked at him surprised. I took a closer look at him. He looked like he was around the same age as me, 21-22. I studied his features. He had smaller than average ears, an average sized nose, a strong jaw line, short medium brown hair, and then his eyes. I stared into his eyes and saw that they held familiarity.

Caught up in the sins and glamour of high society life, Astoria became the girl no one could trust. In order to return to grace, she must do the unthinkable: find a husband before the end of the year... before her mother chooses for her. With only 3 months remaining in the year, she decided to return to the limelight and reengages of high society life. But with everything she needed to build a future, only one question rings in her mind as she faces her fate: was it worth the price? __ The lighting was dull, but I could still see the shadows of his strong jawline, and the broad, muscular build he hid under his suit jacket. I wished I could see more of him-I wished I could see his face. I was intrigued by him, by the man who couldn't seem to look away. I blinked a few times before turning my cheek, suddenly conscious of the way his hidden eyes bore into me; I could almost feel the intensity of his gaze burning holes into my skull. Maybe he knew who I was; maybe he was one of the people I had crossed, they all looked the same to me. I had too many skeletons in my closet to be able to keep track of who was an ally and who was an enemy. If he was the latter, God help me. It was just the two of us outside now on the once compact Parisian streets. We were completely alone. He could do or say whatever he wanted and no one would bare witness. And yet, neither of us moved, too afraid to disrupt the perfect serenity of the moment. I opened my mouth to speak, but I could not bring myself to utter a word. For the first time, I was scared to know what someone was thinking about me. I wanted to know the type of woman he saw staring back at him. I hoped he saw the woman I was pretending to be: the regal, glamorous, refined young lady I'd been bred to become. But somehow I knew he saw me differently. The man who could not look away could see everything, and I just hoped, for the both of us, that he saw how sorry I was.
