The Artist

I felt the butterflies in my stomach turn into rocks, the idea of work for J Cap as his media consultant was my dream come true. I had been listening to his music since his demo tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud. Now that he is worldwide rapper in New York, this was my chance to make a name for myself as well and show them what I was made of. Graduating with a master's in media design and an associate's in social media and business, it was a slam dunk for them even though I didn't come with any experience. I made my way up the elevator of the recording studio with J Cap's personal assistant, Julia Russo. She was a lot shorter than me, with a very no-nonsense demeanor, but I liked that about her.

When the doors opened, we walked out into a very dim sound room, technicians were witting around listening, not paying any attention to me, and there he was standing in the sound booth.

The way his lips moved were mesmerizing, I couldn't look away if I tried.

His honey brown eyes looked over and landed on me, for a brief second he hesitated, missing a beat in the song.

Thats when everyone in the room turned around to see that he was staring at me.

"Yo! Get her the fuck out of here!"
