At the iconic Whisky a Go Go on Sunset Boulevard, Sophie, a young and free-spirited music lover, finds herself drawn into the electric energy of a Metallica concert. There, she crosses paths with James Hetfield, the legendary frontman of one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Their connection is immediate, and what begins as an unexpected, wild night turns into something deeper-an intense, passionate romance neither of them saw coming.
As James pulls Sophie into his world of fame, fortune, and the high-octane rock-and-roll lifestyle, the allure of his stardom soon begins to overshadow their love. The flashing lights, endless tours, and the constant presence of cameras take their toll. James, torn between his love for Sophie and the demands of his career, finds himself caught in a spiral of self-doubt, temptation, and dark secrets.
Sophie, struggling with her own demons and growing disillusionment with the life James has chosen, faces the terrifying realization that fame, though intoxicating, might tear them apart. As James battles his inner conflicts, the pressure of the limelight pushes both to their limits, testing their love and their sanity in a world that is anything but normal.
In this raw and emotional tale of love, fame, and sacrifice, Shadows of the Stage explores the destructive power of celebrity, the vulnerability of the heart, and the struggle to hold on to love when the world around you is crumbling. Will Sophie and James find a way back to each other, or will the darkness of fame consume them both?

She hated riding the subway.
It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end.
Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another.
Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game".
It was either that or die.
To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better.
With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes.
Yep. She really hated the subway.
