- الخامسُ والعشرينَ من اغُسطس سماءَ حالكةَ السوادِ ، والمطرُ يتساقطُ كأن الأرضَ تنعمُ لناَ بنعيمهاَ . اناملُ باهتهَ تُظهرُ اوردةً خضراءَ لشحُوبها الخُمريِ تمسكُ ردائهاَ الساترَ لتعدلهُ بغيةَ وضعِ جَسدهاَ على الصخرةَ لتجلسَ، اناملهاَ تُعانقُ بعضها البعضَ على رِدائها المبتلّ، وحَدِقتيهاَ العسليةَ مَحروسةَ منَ قبلِ رُموش كثيفةَ مُسودةَ تتعلقانَ وتمنحانِ كاملَ تركيزهماَ بالرَجُل الواقفِ أمامها " غَــيثامَ  " .

- كان غيثام واقفًا بصمت ، سيفُه لا يزال يقطر ماءً ممزوجًا بالدم ، وعيناه مُعلَّقتان بالفراغ، كأنَّه يتجاهل وجودَها عمدًا.

- بلَلتْ سيرينَ رِيقها الجافَ ، لينبسَ ثغرهاَ بنوعِ من تصنعِ الثباتِ لكن اهٍ 
ياسيرينَ  .. ارتعاشُ النبرةَ يحددُ كل شيءَ  .. :

" غَـيثامَ لِماذا؟  ". صمتُ حلَ مع اصواتِ قطراتِ المياهِ  ونسماتِ الريحِ  . 

- لم يتحرَّك مُتجاهلاً حواسهَ . كأنَّ السؤالَ لم يبلغه ، أو كأنَّه لم يُرِد أن يسمعه.

- ابتلعتَ ريقَها مجدداً متكتمتاً عن ارتعاشِ اناملهاَ ونبرتهاَ المبححةَ :
