The End will be brought by the Prophet and the Woman will be his Companion.

The lands of Mag Grásta are home to the one destined to put an end to the remnants of human civilizations hidden within the last functioning colonies. This threat, which has always hung over the few living beings who have managed to survive in Mercury's hostile environment, has finally been forgotten by the survivors, who are convinced that it is nothing more than vague superstition.
Mare, destined to become the Woman of the End, fights hard to stay alive, waiting endlessly to fulfill her role. Pushed to the limit by the physical weakness caused by the illness that accompanies her condition as the Prophet's Companion, and with only the support of a creature forgotten by the centuries, she tries to decipher the harbingers of the End - supposed to show her the way to accomplish what she and the Prophet have been appointed to do.
But just when she thinks she's reached her goal, her entire belief system crumbles when she finally meets the man whose Companion she is to become.
And as doubt creeps into her mind and the coming of the End grows ever closer, her role in the destiny of Mercury and its last inhabitants is revealed to bring destruction on a scale far greater than that of the small planet itself.

Note: This is my very first story and English is not my first language so I've tried to do my best and I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammatical errors. I know it won't be perfect (far from it!) but I've had a lot of fun writing it, so I hope you'll enjoy it too, and that you'll find it fun to watch this little Apocalypse trio battle the monsters of this alternate planet Mercury! :)
