Love Me in the Light follows the complicated, slow-burning love story between Emris, a confidident and openly gay Irish teen, and Kyren, his closeted and deeply repressed former best friend.

Once inseprable, Emris and Kyren's friendship ended in painful silence a year ago, leaving behind unresolved tension and unspoken truths. Now, at 18, fate pulls them back together as unexpected dormmates in college. While Emris has long embraced his identity Kyren remains shakled by fear, burdened by the expectations of his religious father and a lifetime of denial.

As the navigate their rekindled connection, moments of closeness blur the lines between past and present. A drunken confession, stolen glances, and whispered admissions force Kyren to confront the feelings he's buried for years. But just as he begins to inch toward the truth, his carefully constructed walls shatter when he is outed against his will. What follows is a storm of familial conflict self-destruction, and heartbreaking rejection.

Despite Emris' unwavering support, Kyren spirals, caught between the love he desperately craves and the fear of losing everything he's ever known. Their relationship teeters on the edge of something real-until Kyren, terrified of his own love, pushes Emris away for good.

Separated and broken, both boys must find their own way foreword. But when Kyren reaches his lowest point, he realizes that a life lived in fear isn't a life at all. In a final, desperate attempt to make things right, he fights to prove to Emris- and to himself- that love is worth choosing, no matter the cost.
