He nodded slowly, his lips trembling at the corners.

"Main jaanta hoon, Ruhi," he said, stepping even closer. "Tum bohot strong ho. Tumhe kisi ki zarurat nahi ."

He raised his hand, gently cupping my cheek.

"Par main..." he whispered, voice breaking slightly, "Main tumhare bina nahi reh sakta."

His thumb brushed away another tear rolling down my cheek.

"Tum nahi chahti main tumhara sahara bano... thik hai," he said. "Lekin mujhe tumhara sahara chahiye, Ruhi. Main chahta hoon tum meri zindagi mein raho... meri muskaan, mera sukoon ban kar."

His hands tightened on my face.

"Galat," he said fiercely. "Tum mere liye sab kuch ho, Ruhi."

He leaned down, forehead pressing against mine.

I shook my head. "Aap mujhe jaante bhi nahi."

His jaw clenched. "Jitna jaana zaroori tha, utna jaan chuka hoon. Aur baaki ki zindagi tumhare saath jaanne ke liye tayar hoon."
