Monsters don't exist but humans do. Humans have a talent for destroying anything beautiful about to bloom. When the last human on Earth died, she died like a hero going home. In a world without a future, each passing moment is the end of the world. It is the year 2136, seven years from the supposed extinction of the human race. Along with Axel, a group of teenage boys wake up in a train with no memory of who they are or where they are going. They make up the remainder of the human population. They soon discover they are much further away from home then they thought.
