Having being abused by his dad constantly in the past, he has low self esteem and is bullied by his peers.

But beneath his polished facade, Shawn's hiding secrets of his own. Shawn suddenly spark interest in the nerdy outcast David and would do anything for him. David struggles to come to terms with his growing feelings for Shawn, he's drawn into a world of privilege and excess that threatens to consume him. Shawn's friends, Mike and Lucas, are wary of David's influence, and Shawn's family is hiding secrets of their own.
