Mia is a bright 16-year-old. Unfortunately, in Lastridia - the country where she lives, all people who want to ride a dragon must be chosen by these beings at the age of 12, in a choosing ceremony. Otherwise, they can go to another ceremony in a year. Mia has already had 4 such. Her parents, terrified that the girl will never be chosen, send her to the famous Dragon Academy. Mia starts school from the 4th year to study with her peers. Unfortunately, at school she has to face rejection from her peers. No one wants to hang out with her, and expose themselves to her "curse". However, one day the girl meets someone who will change her whole life.
