Rosetta Rossi was only 10 when she got attacked by stray dogs while at a playground with her parents, and younger brother.
She's now 16, and can barely sleep at night because of nightmares, and the thought of seeing any dog terrifies her.
At school she gets bullied for her scars. They call her names, and harass her about her scars.
At school her parents don't make things better. Her mother embarrassed by her daughter, always makes sure she knows she's 'worthless' and 'ugly'.
Her dad doesn't even look her way as if the thought of seeing her scars made him sick.
Her mother not caring about her children often leaves Rosetta alone with her younger brother, Matteo, to go to the bar. Rosetta is left caring after her brother.
One day a new boy comes to school, and immediately he joins the popular kids. He is curious, and wants to know more about Rosetta, but she is too scared to let anyone close to her.
