The summer of 2025 in Monaco was supposed to be just another luxurious getaway for me-a break from the high-paced world of fashion marketing. But when my friend Elio, a Ferrari F1 mechanic, invited me to an exclusive rooftop party, I found myself stepping into a world I had admired from afar since childhood. Amongst the glittering elite of Formula 1, I felt out of place, sipping champagne in quiet observation.
It wasn't until I wandered to the other side of the rooftop, where the sunset painted the Monaco skyline in hues of gold and crimson, that my night truly began. A clumsy mistake-a shattered cocktail glass tumbling down from the rooftop-was all it took to catch the attention of someone I never expected to meet.
Lando Norris. The young, talented McLaren driver stood opposite me, his laughter breaking the tension. But when our eyes finally met, something shifted. A moment of silence. A confession that slipped from his lips before he could stop it.
And just like that, everything changed.

We had it all - LN4
Lando and Megan met when they were just ten years old, attending the same school. From the moment they crossed paths, they became inseparable - best friends in every sense of the word. At sixteen, friendship quietly turned into something more. They confessed their feelings and started dating, officially beginning what felt like the start of forever. For the next seven years, Megan stood by Lando's side as he chased his dream of becoming a Formula One driver. And while he pushed for podiums and pole positions, Megan pursued her own path, studying to become a physiotherapist. Together, they dreamed of a future - a home, a family, a life built on love and years of trust. But all of that shattered the day Megan returned to Monaco. She'd come back early - a quiet surprise after visiting family in the UK for a birthday. She walked through the door expecting everything to be as she left it. Instead, what she found tore everything apart. That was nearly four years ago. Now, Megan lives in the UK, raising her three-year-old son, Noah - her entire world. She's done her best to move on, to rebuild the life that once seemed lost. But fate has its own plans. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, as engines roar and crowds surge, Noah slips from her grasp, darting off through the crowd. Megan chases after him - heart racing, calling his name - until she finds him somewhere he absolutely shouldn't be. In a restricted area. With someone she never expected to see again. And in that moment, as eyes lock and silence falls - everything changes. Because nearly four years later, the truth is about to come out. ---- Dual POV All fictional - don't take any storyline seriously or hate upon any characters. Autumn Night never thought of herself as anything special. By day, she worked in her mom's bakery in Milton Keynes. Daniel Ricciardo had never read fanfiction about himself, until his Teammate, Lando Norris, shoves a phone in his face and insisted he reads the story he found on Tiktok. What starts as a joke quickly turns into something else. Her words are sharp. Honest. Surprisingly comforting. He's hooked. Then curious. Then completely in over his head. And no one's ready for what happens when fire meets fire. Because sometimes, hate burns hot enough to become something else...
