I Made Peace in Silence

Solène's life ended in a lake. Or at least, it should have.

Instead, she wakes up in Phoenix. In Bella Swan's body. In a story she already knows.

She follows the script, plays the part, and does what is expected of her. It doesn't matter that something feels off. That her reflection feels unfamiliar. That the people around her react like they're sensing something they can't explain.

Then, there's Edward Cullen.

"You feel it too, don't you?" he asks, unblinking.

She doesn't answer. There's no point.
