I was created with a sacred purpose. A spell cast by Lily Potter herself, meant to protect her son, to watch over him, to ensure he lived. I was supposed to be his guardian.

Instead, I became Hogwarts' biggest gossip.

Look, in my defense, being a wandering magical spell is hard. One minute, I'm a quill on McGonagall's desk, the next, I'm a cup of coffee in Draco Malfoy's hand. And let me tell you, that boy does NOT handle caffeine well.

I tried-really, I did-to stay focused on my mission. Watching over Harry, protecting him from danger, blah blah blah. But then... Draco started looking at him differently.

And Harry looked back.

And suddenly, I forgot how to mind my business.
