A Game of Medicine

Kronos, son of Sodrus, is a slave who is fascinated by the art of medicine in a world where such things as health, success, and happiness were all left to the gods. To question such beliefs was punishable by exile or death. . Secret pupil to headmaster Soranus, who opened him to the art of medicine, he discovers a method to help alleviate the human body from sickness. Through his experiments, his headmaster soon dies and Solon is left to take the blame. When Solon is put on trial for the death of his headmaster, he is approached by a mysterious woman who seeks to acquire his knowledge of medicine to save the people of Greece from a terrible plague.
