[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. She had good friends, good grades, a happy family, a loving boyfriend, and an overall content life, seemingly having everything a person could ask for. The first few months are terrible, and it only gets worse as he gets no word from Alex. No sign of him that could possibly give him some strength to go on. After more months, he loses his hope, killing everyone around as if that would make anything better. Nigel gets locked up in an asylum, declared for mentally unstable: charged for many, many murders. And since he doesn't ages, they keep him for experiments. Since they are very religious in there, they believe it's the Devil his son. After eight years, somehow Nigel keeps seeing this blonde-reddish boy visiting him. He tells him stories, being all cheeky and forces him to wait. The doctors around are trying anything to get that boy out of Nigel his mind, and when they don't succeed, they decide to use electroshock therapy for that. As Nigel threats to lose Alex, the connection between the two fades a lot. Alex has barely enough strength to stay around, and gets forced to find a body before he disappears forever. Strangely enough a patient passes by during Nigel his therapy. A suspicious girl that always wants to know everything that's going around. Since she is the only weak person of them all in a near distance, Alex gets into her body - being forced to share it with another soul. As soon as Nigel realizes that the girl isn't just somebody, and they can't get away from each other, there's only one option left. But what will happen? Will Alex get his body back? And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!

Nothing Ever Lasts (Rewrite Demo)
A new take on the first novel of the Anti-Hero story line, with updated and polished writing. Expanding and rewriting the story along with adding never before scenes and characterizations with most of the original story beats along the way. This is not the official canon novel, however I'd like to think of it as an alternative universe. You might recognize some things, and see new ones as well. This is also a test for the audience to see how my writing has improved over the years. See which one does best.
