In the heart of Velaris, where starlight dances and shadows whisper, a tale of love, secrets, and unspoken bonds begins. Demetria, known as Demi, is a vibrant waitress with a gift for drawing people in through her warmth and chatter. With her raven-black hair and eyes that shimmer in hues of pink and violet, she carries a mystery she herself doesn't fully understand. Azriel, the enigmatic Shadowsinger, is a man of quiet strength and guarded emotions, his icy exterior a shield against a world that has often been cruel.
When their paths cross at the opening of The Starry Bite, a new restaurant in Velaris, an unexpected connection sparks. Demi's lively nature challenges Azriel's walls, while his silent intensity draws her in like a moth to a flame. But beneath the surface, secrets linger-Demi's hidden lineage, Azriel's past scars, and a bond that neither of them can explain.
As they navigate their growing attraction, they must confront the shadows of their pasts and the challenges of their present. From the bustling streets of Velaris to the quiet moments under the night sky, their story unfolds like a melody-haunting, beautiful, and impossible to ignore.
The Melody of Shadows is a tale of love that blooms in the unlikeliest of places, where laughter meets silence, and where the light of one soul can illuminate even the darkest of shadows.
The story take place before A Court of Silver Flames.

A Court of Shadows and Light --- Azriel's Story ACOTAR
WARNING: This story contains major spoilers of the original book ACOTAR. In the aftermath of Solstice, Azriel's world is fracturing. Forbidden from pursuing Elain and watching his brothers' happiness from the shadows, the Shadowsinger of the Night Court teeters on the edge of a darkness five hundred years in the making. Each night, he destroys himself in the training ring, hoping pain might silence the whispers that urge him to take what he's been denied. Crystal arrives at the House of Wind carrying shadows of his own. A healer from the Winter Court with rose-quartz hair and ruby eyes, he possesses the rare gift of mending both body and soul. But the last time he opened his heart, it cost him everything, leaving Crystal with a shattered soul and a bone-deep terror of ever feeling that connection again. Neither expects the impossible--- Azriel's shadows reaching out to Crystal in the darkness, recognizing a kindred spirit in suffering. Crystal sees past Azriel's icy control to the male breaking beneath. Azriel glimpses the devastating loss Crystal hides behind his serene healer's mask. But some wounds run too deep for simple healing. Crystal flinches from their growing connection, terrified of what another bond might cost. Azriel struggles against centuries of self-denial, certain he doesn't deserve the light Crystal brings to his darkness. As war drums echo across Prythian and ancient enemies stir, both must decide: is the courage to love again worth the risk of losing everything? In a world where mates are destiny and bonds are forever, can two shattered souls forge something new from their broken pieces?
