Jake has just finished his studies and returns to his hometown, feeling lost and uncertain about what he truly wants to do with his life. After following his mother's dreams of a career in economics, he realizes that he lacks passion for it and is torn between following his own dreams or making those around him proud.

Back in his old hometown, he reunites with Hannah, a childhood friend who now works at the animal shelter where they once spent a lot of time. Though they lost touch during their college years, their friendship and old feelings for each other have never faded. Together, they must navigate old memories, new emotions, and life's challenges, and perhaps discover a way back to each other - both as friends and something more.
