You know those really cliche high school stories about finding young love and the meaning of friendship?
Yeah... If you're not interested in those then you should leave now. But, if you're interested in skiing, snowboarding, sitcom-paced stories, or characters that get super serious about sports and other unserious things, then step right up.
Do you have to know how to ski or snowboard to read this? Nope. Don't worry about that.
This is an original story I wrote for fun. I realized that I'd never heard about a story of a camp during the winter, so, I wrote one myself. The main character is the worst skier in history and she joins a group of friends that are all incredibly good on the slopes. She meets the greatest skier that the camp has ever seen and he teaches her how to ski, forming an unlikely romance between the two. Together, the group of friends learn what it takes to be a good skier and an even better friend.
I'm on the verge of throwing up by how corny this description is but I really don't know how else to describe it. It's funny, it's got corny romance, and I think it's a good read if you have literally nothing else to do. I say give it a shot (but I am the author, so I'm very biased).
Also, the book cover is really ugly, just ignore it (I spent maybe ten minutes making it).

"Alright, I'll start with an introduction to me and all the people I'm gonna tell you about, so errrr, welcome, I guess? I'm Cassie Langer, I'm seventeen, and I'm an aspiring fashion designer doing my senior year at Crestville High in some town in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. I won't bore you with the long-winded description of what I look like, this isn't My Immortal and my name isn't Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Cassie always faded into the background of life, mostly only interacting with her inner circle of close friends and seeing herself invisible to everyone else at Crestville High, and that's how she likes it. So imagine her surprise when her former friend and long-time crush - kind-hearted jock Ryan Park - decides to reconnect with her. As Cassie's growing connection with Ryan draws more attention to her, she starts gaining the confidence to take on her bullies and break out from her shell. However as she grows closer to Ryan, her close and protective childhood friend Chad Hills starts showing his own feelings for Cassie. Will she continue seeing where things go with her self-described "perfect man", or find herself falling harder for her best friend. This is the first of a series. I decided not to dump the entire story that I have planned out into one and split it into several different ones. So consider this as Cassie Book #1. This story as well as the series as a whole blends silly humor, cuteness, and also some pretty dark storylines, if you're into that kind of stuff. Also, this book makes use of music, so every chapter has a song that correlates with the story being told. I do not own any of the music or song lyrics used and every song used is linked in the chapter, all rights belong to the artists and composers :) ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED: November 10, 2020 EDITED: November 21, 2022
The Billionaire Mafia Boss Alpha Bad Boy and Me by YYeung128

A parody... except it slowly gets less satirical as I get way too attached to the characters and turn the story into a shipping-fest ~~~~ "Why are you doing this?" I whispered. He slammed me against another locker. I could see anger, sadness, envy, happiness and lust in his teal green orbs. "Because you're mine." He smirked, gnashing his teeth against mine. ~~~~ Brynn Winters is a 17 year old good girl. She is sweeter than sugar. She is also sarcastic and quirky and innocent and naive and snarky and is a bookworm and not like other girls. She also has trauma to (barely) compensate for her lack of personality. She believes in love but she has never experienced any, until she met him. Ryder Daniels is a 18 year old bad boy. He is sweeter than sin. He is dark and mysterious and plays football (not shown in book). He smokes and drinks beer. He is a ladies' man and a player. He has walls around his heart and some dark secrets that is definitely not spoiled in the title. He does not believe in love. Brynn and Ryder are opposites. So what happens when they meet? He is not who she thinks he is. Will it end in disaster? Or will it end in love? Will it end in flames? Or will it end in a different kind of flame? As disasters come their way, will they choose love or not love? Will their secrets drive them apart? Or will they trust in each other? Join them on their journey of love. There will be love, annoying sluts, conversations that doesn't pass the Bechdel test, cliche tropes, glaring plot holes, subtly glaring plot holes, socialism, orbs, humor, secondhand embarrassment and the tiniest hints of homoeroticism. ~~~~ Reviews (aka criticisms that I'm too lazy to correct): "From a horribly done parody to horribly done leftist propaganda." "Brynn and Ryder are the most frustrating couple I've ever read." "Where humor" "You can't use parody as an excuse for bad writing, you know."

"Teenage relationships are fake." That's what most people say. They think it's just drama, temporary attraction, and silly heartbreaks. But sometimes... teenage love can be more pure, more intense, and more real than anything else. This story is about that kind of love. In this book, you'll see how different two people can be .. not just in background, but in how they see the world. The girl belongs to a rich family. She's bold, smart, and knows what she wants. The boy comes from a middle-class home. He's calm, simple, and scared of getting into something as confusing as love. Still, destiny brings them together. They're both toppers, both talented, both teenagers. But when it comes to love .. their thoughts don't match. She falls first .. slowly, softly. And he falls later .. but when he does, he falls harder than ever. This story is not about perfect people. It's about real emotions, silent stares, late-night thoughts, innocent fights, handwritten letters, and unspoken promises. It's about teenage love .. raw, messy, honest. You'll laugh with them. You'll cry with them. You'll smile at their small wins and feel your heart ache at their misunderstandings. Because this book isn't just about romance. It's about growing up, falling for someone when you least expect it, and learning that love doesn't care about status, fear, or timing. So welcome to this journey. A journey where she fell first... and he fell harder. A beautiful, imperfect, unforgettable teenage love story.

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! Like this writing is so beautiful" - CrazyStarChick "Reading it for the second time, and the book still brings a smile to my face 😆" - grumpymood "She's practically Carter's twin 😂😂" - Guardian_21 #1 Breakingcliches #1 Arrogant #6 in Teen Romance

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!
