A/N There might be some plotholes but it is a fanfic, not a masteriece. If I have time, I will get rid of every mistake possible, but for now I want you to enjoy the story! I do not own any characters from The Hobbit, only Evanora and possible new characters within the story. The Battle of the Five Armies was supposed to end with Thorin Oakenshield's final breath on the frozen slopes of Ravenhill. But as the darkness closed in, a miracle intervened. He remembers only a silhouette against the snow. A creature with hair as white as frost and eyes of a piercing, glacial blue, pulling him back from the brink of death with a power that felt both ancient and forbidden. Thorin survived, but the memory of his savior remained a ghost, haunting his throne in the reclaimed Erebor. Years later, the original company of thirteen dwarves, one hobbit, and a wizard, sets out on a new mission to stabilize the restless borders of Middle-earth. Along their path, they discover a wounded traveler, a young woman with hair as dark as a raven's wing but with the same hauntingly familiar blue eyes. She is mysterious and quiet, yet she possesses a stubbornness that rivals the King's own pride. Thorin is immediately wary of the stranger, his suspicion fixated on the exquisite silver ring that adorns her hand. He sees it only as a beautiful piece of jewelry, never suspecting that the ring acts as a desperate lock, binding a volatile power that could consume her very soul. The band on her finger is all that keeps her lethal magic in check and all that hides her true form from his sight. A king's pride is a dangerous veil, and as the silver ring begins to fail, Thorin must realize who she is before the miracle that saved his life becomes the tragedy that breaks his heart.
