The series follows Loona (voiced by Erica Lindbeck), a cynical Hellhound and former I.M.P. receptionist who is now an active assassin. She adopts a 10-year-old orphan named Wayne (Tom Kenny) after rescuing him from bullies. Loona introduces Wayne to her coworkers: her eccentric boss and adoptive father, Blitzø (Steve Carell, replacing Brendon Rogers); anxious Moxxie (Richard Steven Horvitz); his energetic wife, Millie (Vivian Nixon); and Blitzø's love interest, Prince Stolas (Bryce Pinkham). Stolas's gothic daughter, Octavia (Barrett Wilbert Weed), her friend Vortex (Michael B. Jordan, replacing James Monroe Iglehart), and his girlfriend, Queen Bee-lzebub (Kesha), are also part of the team. A new enemy, Varkhaziel (Will Ferrell), a French-accented Goetic demon with technology-enhanced powers, seeks revenge. Meanwhile, they meet old and new friends-- both demons and humans.

As they race against time to break the spell before they are stuck in each other's bodies forever, they realize that true strength comes from embracing who they are and the love that finally comes to pass. And Izzy just so happens to be like a second mother to Blitzo's little sister, Annabella Buckzo. Annabella is like her baby, because her and Blitzo raised Annabella since she was a baby. Healing Blitzo

Meanwhile, Octavia tries to move on from her mother only to find her living in at the Hazbin Hotel, seeking redemption for her past sins while helping a certain porn star deal with his issues. And what is it with this strange demon helping her father that Loona finds herself connecting with and changing because of him?
