Shelby, a 22-year-old college student, has been living with her best friend Vivi and her family since her parents died nine years ago. But when she encounters the monster that destroyed her family one night, her memories are catapulted back into the darkness. Suddenly, she finds herself in the shadows of her past, only this time her shadows become reality. Driven by revenge, not only her own life is in danger, but also the lives of the people she loves most.

When the hunt escalates and Vivi loses everything that means something to her, the friends need a fresh start. The two hunters who saved their lives, Sam and Dean Winchester, are able to convince them to accompany the brothers to a mysterious bunker to recharge their batteries until they have recovered from their trauma. However, they did not expect that the oceanic blue eyes of the angel Casiel and the smug and ironic sayings of the hunter Dean would find their way into the hearts of Vivi and Shelby faster than expected... 

This fan fiction takes place in the Supernatural universe after the events of season 13, episode 22, in which the brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, together with the angel Castiel, his foster son Jack and some refugees, successfully return from the apocalypse world back to the bunker. From there on, the events change in the course of the fanfiction - because we all know that Cas and Dean deserve a better ending &lt;3
