Tyron Sanchez was a beautiful dream.

A dream who left daisies in my locker and handwritten notes that made my senior year feel like a rom-com montage. We were Essa-and-Tyron, the golden couple. Cue the applause.

And our movie? It's a confusing sequel where the lead actor is too busy winning Math Olympiads to remember his lines, and the leading lady is pretty sure the script has been rewritten without her.

The boy who once knew the perfect thing to say now specializes in the silent treatment. And the girl who had a plan for everything? Yeah, she's winging it. We're so busy trying to prove we're fine that we've turned our relationship into a petty, unspoken competition. And honestly? I'm getting really tired of losing a game I never agreed to play.
