Nathan ne se souvient pas de son passé avant ses dix ans. Seul trace de celui-ci, l'étrange relique en forme de flamme qu'il porte autour du cou.
Alors, lorsqu'il reçoit une lettre anonyme lui indiquant qu'il pourrait bien retrouver la mémoire en suivant les instructions indiquées sur celle-ci, il n'hésite pas et se lance dans un voyage terrifiant et redoutable qui va l'emmener vers des horizons lui étant encore inconnus, à la recherche de ses origines.
Nathan va se retrouver entraîné dans une quête sinistre et pleine de dangers, qui pourrait bien l'entraîner loin, très loin dans les engrenages de son passé...

Everything has its place
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. It will always be welcome. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes or things that don't make sense? I've also posted this on AO3 under the same name :)

If God is not going to punish the sinner then I WILL. People sometimes say to you, "Don't bother with them, their karma will come back to them someday". That is why sometimes people break themself in order to wait for that moment. But sometimes that moment never comes and you yourself are the one rotting away in this miserable life, so why wait when you could put your hands in it? "You are wrong. Whether I am here or not, your punishment will always come to you, I just.. make it much sooner for you. As I didn't have time to wait any longer", he said with a dark gloomy eyes that had lost their lights. When Shen Wei ran away at the age of 15 years old, he never thought that he would come back again, trying to untie the knot that had been lingering in his heart for years, he came back once again trying to understand some events, but to be honest, for him, it is just an excuse, he just wants to see the lights once again, to be able to proudly says "Mom, I have made it, the sinner have already been punished and you have nothing to worry about anymore". Even if it means to drag others down to hell with him. And I.. am not the type of person who will easily let other people bully me" Notes: First time making my own character, I think it will be hard for me to clearly describe how the character would be, but I will try my best. I must say first that the timeline is around the early 20th century.. probably, it is fictional, so there must be things that are different compared to the history. it practically happened overnight, one night I'm in my bed when I wake up my eyes are covered in an unusual mass and I heard unusual voices. suddenly I felt something pick me up and say: "calm down, for us you're in a high honer position." Humanity's way of life has somehow changed overnight. What was once 7.5 billion people on earth with just 6 off of the surface of the Earth is now practically all on ships orbiting the Earth. Brought there by an unusual race with seemingly good intentions. As for Nathan, like many children of his metal status and age from the looks of things; ends up placed in the care of someone on the ship and, what would be lucky for their kind, in the care of the commander of the ship he's on. But he's willing to trust something that knows his every like and dislike despite his kind nature.
