Her words sounded like a desperate cry, a plea for the impossible. His eyes, full of unshed tears, were desperately trying to catch hers, to make her understand that there was no life possible without her, without their love. Every breath seemed heavy with this unbearable weight, a weight made of unacknowledged emotions and insurmountable fears. The world around them seemed to be falling apart, and yet he couldn't let her go. Not now, not ever. Not ever.
