A cozy, artsy part of town, where a small but thriving tattoo studio, "Black Noir Ink," sits right next to a small bakery "The Whisk Co.." Mateo(Tattoo Artist) and Tiana (Bakery Owner)have been roommates for years they balance each other's life out. Tiana keeps Mateo from making bad decisions and living off of caffeine and Mateo keeps Tiana from overworking herself. Things take a turn when Tiana sees Mateo shirtless revealing a drawing she once doodled. Mateo started to bring back his date and Tiana saw herself getting jealous. One night on a blackout lockdown they were stuck in their apartment having nothing but a candle and some bottle of whiskey. In the mix of all this do they resolve their feelings and pretend nothing happened or do they risk everything and cross the line?

He looks across the street and sees a blue-eyed boy with dirty blonde hair opening the flower shop, and something within him stirs. Deimos Alexander, a hyper ADHD 20-year-old, was shocked when he realized that a new business had opened up across the street. He looked in the window and saw (In his best friend's words) an "Emo in the wild" tattooing someone. He makes a bouquet for him and places it on his porch step. He almost dropped his coffee the following day when he saw an oil pastel drawing on his welcome mat from the tattoo artist. Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek.
