Arkayn

The old King of Arkayn is dead, leaving to his heirs a city split in twain by a raging war between the masters of magic and science. While the newly-crowned twin monarchs and their mentors struggle to hold their city together in the midst of a raging winter storm, the leaders of the assassins' guild who killed their father deal with demons of their own, an orphaned street urchin wriggles her way into the assassins' ranks in a quest for revenge, and a sympathetic noblewoman with a hunger for knowledge seeks out the underground resistance fleeing from the neighboring, antagonistic city of Arkangel, whose threat looms over the strife-ridden city, threatening to suffocate them all in its shadow.
