In a town that was left behind by time, the townsfolk have not yet moved on from their belief on the existence of otherworldly beings such as fairies, pixies, necromancer, and the list of such beings just go on and on. Witch-hunting is still going on in this small town somewhere in our planet. Folklores are not just stories to tell your children at night, but to warn them against evil beings as well. It is also in this very town where our tale started and will come back in a matter of time.

This story is about a young woman who discovers that a "might be royal" magical spirit was place upon her when she was just barely two years old. Either this highly important, enchanted being was entrusted to her might bring a blessing or a curse, it was for her to find out once she turns seventeen. The coming-of-age, for Ked Williams, in the magical world is where all the magic begins.

When you tell a story over and over and over again enough times, details become warped. The finer points of the true meanings are lost between the lines. Just like the story of Ajatri Hope, whose story we most commonly know as, "The Jungle Book." One day, just like all the other people of her world, she found herself trapped in a place where her happy ending was stolen from her. A place where her family, her memories, and even her own true identity were stripped away. Our world. This is her story. "There's only one thing strong enough to bring back what you desire. Only one cure for your loss." "I don't know what that is!" "Come now, don't you know what magic is powerful enough to restore anything?" "You twisted bastard." "True love, dearie. Isn't that the Hook in everyone's story?" Once Upon A Time [TV] Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 Season 4 Season 5 Season 6 Season 7 --- Disclaimers: I do not own Once Upon A Time, it's characters or plot. I do not own the Jungle Book story - all rights go to the appropriate parties. I do own my OCs and their plots. Highest Rankings: #1 in #enchantedforest [09/01/24]
Rumerra - The Journey Begins by AACrow

Since she was a little girl, Velvet has been reading stories about great wizards and witches of Rumerra's past, wishing every night to wake up one day and be blessed with the affinity for magic herself. Unfortunately, the odds are stacked against her. Both her parents had no magic and thus the chances of her developing it are slim at best. But the gods of fate smile upon her one day when she receives her mark of light, thus becoming a light witch. Acquiring magic is only the first step, however. After this comes the grueling and life-long task of mastering it. We accompany the young witch as she sets out on a journey of self-discovery, full of magic and wonder - or so she thought. Velvet quickly starts realizing that the world of Rumerra is not like the worlds she got to know in her stories at all. Compared to her hometown of Simula, Rumerra at large is vast and unforgiving. From the frigid tundra of the Frozen North to the craggy hills of Eldrasit, and the vast forests of the elven lands, Velvet encounters mercenaries, dragons, and a vast array of other creatures, all of which seem eager to demonstrate that the world is far more cruel and unforgiving than she thought. Good and evil are not so easily told apart, not everyone is to be trusted, friends can die and a happy ending is all but guaranteed. Will Velvet be able to find her place in such a world? Can she become the hero she admired in her storybooks and pass on her knowledge of magic to others as she always wanted? Or will the cruel reality shatter her illusion and bring the girl to her knees?
