The case was closed before it even began. The verdict whispered before the trial was called.

Yet here they stood-bound not by law, but by an equation neither dared to solve.

A case buried in silence. A past stitched together with missing proofs. A connection that was never meant to exist.

Bondita's fingers hovered over the case file, the weight of someone else's secrets pressing against her own. An answer she had spent years avoiding, now staring her in the face.

Anirudh stood across the room, unreadable-a contradiction wrapped in certainty, an anomaly that refused to be defined.

"You knew," he said, measured, controlled. Too controlled.

"You assumed," she corrected, quiet but certain.

Somewhere between guilt and innocence, between law and loophole, between past and present-lay the truth. But neither of them were ready to prove it.

The trial loomed. The proof remained unwritten. The question unanswered.

Would they uncover the equation they were never meant to solve?

Or would they, too, remain-unsolved?
