In a world where magic reigns supreme, Yse was condemned to pain and even death-betrayed by the very family meant to protect her. But fate had other plans. For seven days, the skies wept, and thunder raged. A bolt of lightning struck her lifeless body, yet instead of turning to ash, she absorbed its power. "A Parasitic Magic Core?" "Souls... inside me?" "A primal bloodline...?" The mysteries surrounding her were beyond comprehension, yet one truth was clear-she could no longer remain weak. "You must grow stronger, no matter what. I will guide you." The elf's voice was firm yet reassuring. For the first time, she found people who truly cared. A newfound family who taught her to embrace herself, friends who stood by her side, and mentors who helped her unlock her hidden potential. "Fool. Don't you know how to ask for help?" her friend scolded, yet their words carried warmth. "Never walk so close to death again." The cold, aloof voice she had grown used to was now laced with concern. When she awoke from what should have been her final battle, she found herself wrapped in an unexpected embrace. And when she looked up at the man holding her, her heart pounded-was this a confession? With a second chance at life, Yse forged bonds stronger than blood, carving her own destiny. But as she unknowingly gathered the companions fated to end a millennium-old war, she realized-her story was only just beginning.

Everyone she knew and cared about was murdered in a twisted idea of fun, she was the only survivor. Quickly dumped into a world of supernatural Aurora must find her place despite the fact a possessive werewolf seems to want to tell her what to do. Can she adjust or will she crumble under the pressure? Excerpt: The screams and cries for help faded while silent tears continued to stream down her face. Her hands were slapped over her mouth to muffle any noise that escaped her quivering lips. She wasn't sure how long she was in that pantry but couldn't come out until she was beyond certain that they had left. For a moment, she started to have hope that maybe they wouldn't be able to find her, but a voice spoke up, and fear flooded in once again. "You cleared out the upstairs, too, right?" "Yeah." Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."
