Luna grew up under the foster care system, she never knew and still doesn't know who her parents are or why they left her on an orphanage doorstep, at the age of 22 she doesn't really care anymore.
After graduating high school with exceptionally good grade she now lives on her own working night shifts.
When a mysterious letter arrives in her mail telling her to run away from were she lives, she doesn't listen thinking its just some prank a immature person, but in actuality the letter was very real and very serious.
She gets kidnapped and brought to a secret society were she discovers things about herself and her past. Also meets a very mysterious boy who seems to dislike everything and everyone.

And she has so many layers, barley anyone gets to see past the first one, let alone the rest of them. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own.
