Summer of 2019 follows Clay Martin, a heavily suicidal 18 year old boy, along with his best friend, Dennis Harper, a 19 year old boy. Even with Clay's many attempts, Dennis refused to leave his side, trying time and time again to help his childhood best friend get better.
Just as Dennis thought that Clay finally came through, something happened to him. Something that he'd remember for the years that followed.
