When people hear about "the union," they think it's a group of employees using a common interest to form a tighter society within their workforce. Usually, it's used with a negative connotation. But not the kind of union that Danielle Hawkins is a part of. That union is a highly secretive agency within the government, similar to the operations of the CIA. That union is an invisible army that keeps the world running. That union is an agency that looks for street-smart, blue-collar individuals who fly under the radar. In other words, "average" citizens. They use these average citizens to keep an eye on things, pick up things, pass things, and intervene when necessary.
Danielle Hawkins (a.k.a. Agent Hawk) is one of the highest-ranking agents. She has been trained to do everything and anything her handler/boss, Max, asks of her. She uses her invisibility to help her close hundreds of cases. That is, until she meets ex-frat boy, Gary Johnson. A drunken dare causes him to test her invisibility. So much so that he finds her and ends up interfering as she had interfered with a case, which leads Danielle's handler to recruit Gary.
Max, knowing that Dani is his best agent, decides to have her train Gary. While training, Gary focuses on proving to Dani that he's not the frat boy she saw the night they first met. Dani focuses on clearing cases without getting the newbie killed. That is, until a case from her past comes back to haunt her.
