Their dinosaurs and genetic experiments became the subject the subject of harsh criticism levied against them. When information about the 1993 incident and Isla Nublar was leaked, all hell broke loose. Public panic was centered around the potential of another dinosaur attack. InGen had to react before politicians began to investigate further. A story was fabricated stating the Costa Rican government fire bombed Isla Nublar, they pulled some strings to get the islands restricted, and managed to quell the outrage. Life returned to normal. People avoided the islands, afraid of what monsters lurked upon their shores, but it was only a matter of time before powerful individuals began to see the island as a potential gold mine.
